Dimasa kachari are a Tibeto-Burman community presently inhabiting the Indian states of Assam, Nagaland, and some parts of Manipur. In Dimasa society, there are forty male clans and forty-two female clans. The male clans are called Sengphong, and the female clans are called Jadi or Julu.
